Too much Temporal Cold War crap and the entire Xindi storyline ruined this show…if they had done the 4th Season episodes earlier, this show might have survived. It was just starting to get good when it was canceled.

Incidentally the transwarp network was NOT fully obliterated. Parts of it were used in Picard and Prodigy, including by Janeway and the Voyager A.

Star Trek five kind of cheapned this ending with all the problems The new enterprise is having. A better way to explain the problem was the enterprise had run into something like an asteroid field and was undergoing repairs.

With AI development, the ship itself should have blocked Hoshi from commanding the vessel when she threatened to bombard cities. This action would be illegal under Federation law and the ship should have picked up that there were biometric differences between this Hoshi and the one on file who would have been much older. The same would be true for when the Kazon took over Voyager.
